Easy Appetizers- Bacon Wrapped Scallops

Here's a super easy and really delicious combination most of us in the northeast know about; bacon-wrapped scallops. I don't know of many other seafood-bacon pairings, but scallops and bacon were made for each other.

Ingredients

Sea Scallops or larger pieces
Several slices of your favorite brand of bacon
Toothpicks to hold them together
Brown sugar to taste

First, cut your bacon strips into thirds

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375-400.
Simply take whole (or scallop chunks like I used) and lay them out as above. Put one piece of scallop
on a piece of bacon and roll them up, securing with a toothpick (or two, those suckers are slippery) I sprinkled a bit of brown sugar on each. Optional, but it adds to the taste.

Set them on a baking sheet or other surface that with catch the grease. I used mini muffin pans and straddled the toothpicks across so they would cook evenly and the grease would drop.

Cook until the bacon looks well cooked, about 12-15 minutes max.

Let cool and enjoy!
